Sandy Lane and Crossflatts produced outstanding Bradford Evening League performances to see off the previously unbeaten leaders of Divisions One and Two respectively.

Opening bowler Phil Yeadon’s three for 22 left top-flight pace-setters Haworth Road struggling and they managed only 93 for seven off their 18 overs.

Nadeem Mohammed top-scored with 33 and then took two early wickets to give Road hope as rock-bottom Sandy Lane slumped to nine for two.

But Paul Chapman (36no), Anthony Heaton (28no) and James Sawyer (25) enabled them to log a memorable first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Matt Cavanagh produced an outstanding all-round display as third-placed Crossflatts beat Allerton in DIVISION TWO.

He followed up a half-century in Crossflatts’ 123 for two by removing the top three Allerton batsmen.

The hosts recovered well from 12 for three but, in an exciting finish, lost their last two wickets for no runs and were all out for 117.

Bingley Congs capitalised on Allerton’s defeat to move within a point at the top as they secured a 25-run win at John Breare.

Paul Quinlan top-scored with 29 in Congs’ total of 130 for six, with Breare then restricted to 105 for six.

Shelf returned to winning ways at second-bottom Shipley Providence, while Bolton Villas had a comfortable victory at bottom side Cambing.

Windhill moved second in DIVISION ONE after a win that relegated Denholme to third.

Gareth Marshall (3-15) helped restrict Windhill to 113 for nine but the Denholme response collapsed from 56 for one to 78 all out as Des Wilkinson (4-12) and Scott Etherington (4-10) tore into the home team.

Elsewhere, Baildon Meths recorded an excellent win at Indian Panthers, while Taurus Sports claimed the points at Thornton.
