Dave Maloney’s five for 33 set up a maximum points haul for Shelf as they beat Augustinians by four wickets in Division Three of the Halifax League.
Robert Ramsden and Mick Priestley chipped in with two wickets apiece as Augustinians were all out for 107.
A stand of 80 between Billy Sugden (42) and Chris Wolfenden (31) then guided Shelf home.
Shelf’s second team were also narrow winners, their last pair scoring the 15 runs required to pass Sowerby St Peters’ 145.
Gavin Watmough (four wickets) and veteran Colin Boardall (47) were Shelf’s key men.
