Shelf threw away the chance of closing the gap on Halifax League leaders Outlane.
Shelf made 186 all out, with promising junior Alex O’Keefe batting superbly for 36 before he was run out. Steve Priestley then scored 44.
Outlane were struggling at 102 for six but Paul Lorraine – dropped twice – scored a match-winning 95 not out to see Outlane over the line.
Shelf Seconds were too strong for Outlane. They scored 206 for six, Lee Butterfield 65 and Craig Green 41, with Outlane closing on 191 for nine in reply.
