Hepworth & Idle were knocked off the top of DIVISION B in the Dales Council League after losing at home to closest rivals Halifax Direct, who replaced them at the summit.
Faisal Mahmood (85), Naz Khan (76) and Gully Mehmood (56) were in the runs as Halifax Direct scored an impressive 284 and only Dale Wood (64) held up the visitors as Hepworth & Idle were dismissed for 153.
New Wortley kept some pressure on the top two as Mohammed Rizwan (5-6) sent Pudsey St Lawrence crashing to 61 all out chasing a target of 180.
Baildon B (136-5) gained the bragging rights in the local derby at Shipley Providence B, Junaid Ahmed scoring 51 in their score of 134 for eight.
Rodley B and Old Modernians have been sucked into the relegation fight after succumbing to fellow strugglers Leeds Sikh YMCA B and Meanwood respectively.
Rodley could only muster 54 in their five-wicket defeat but Old Mods did at least hold on for a point, finishing on 103 for eight in reply to Meanwood’s 189 for seven.
The top two in DIVISION A both won again to put more space between themselves and defending champions Rodley, who look like relinquishing their four-year grip on the title.
Rodley were rained off on 36 for one chasing the modest 144 for nine set by Adel.
Leaders Shipley Providence were bowled out for 126 as Amir Rashid took eight for 36 but Richard Taylor was on song, picking up five for 24 as Crompark were skittled for just 58.
Leeds Sikh YMCA (101-3) made short work of Baildon’s target of 100, Raghu Nath scoring an unbeaten 50 in the chase.
Pudsey Congs were on the receiving end of a century from South African Barry Brooks, who recently moved from Congs to Farsley, as he crashed 109 in his new side’s 232 for seven.
But Congs had the last word as Steve Gunner, another South African, scored 56 and Congs secured a rain-affected winning draw as they closed on 225 for seven.
Drighlington moved into a DIVISION C promotion spot for the first time this season after a narrow one-wicket victory over Mount B.
Batley-based Mount saw Imran Kayat (58) and Masum Dilalj (54) in the runs as they scored 172 – despite the efforts of Graham Thurston, who took 7-82 – and David Nelson’s 85 was enough to see Drighlington edge home.
Hepworth & Idle B remain top, skipper Brian Heaton claiming seven for 48 as Baildon C were all out for 160 and Maurice Chilton hitting 63 in a five-wicket victory.
Whitehall (205-6) gained a winning draw over Pudsey St Lawrence B, who finished on 136 for nine.
