St Paul's close gap as Heaton beaten

The halfway point in the season brought some surprising results in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League.

Heaton lost their unbeaten run in the biggest upset of the day.

Joe Aherne made 42, then Mohammed Rafiq took six for 33 as West Bowling beat them by 25 runs.

Buttershaw Saint Paul’s close to within two points of Heaton at the top of Group C after their win over Great Horton Meths.

At the top of Group A, Bradford Gymkhana lost their unbeaten record in the top-of-the-table clash with Yorkshire LPS.

Mukesh Patel took seven for 45 as Gymkhana where bowled out for 140. Mukesh then made 59 as LPS won by eight wickets.

Champions, BPR/Odsal dropped into the relegation zone after their loss to Bradford Gymkhana B.

In Group B there is only one point separating the top four clubs.

Leaders Hallfield succumbed to the young guns of Bradford Indians.

After bowling out Hallfield for 133, Pritesh Ladd (52no) and Ibrahim Lunat (38no) guided the Indians to an eight-wicket win, only their second of the season.

BPR/ Odsal B join Hallfield at the top after their win over Mandhata.

Melvin Smith made an unbeaten 47 as BPR/Odsal B made 125 for five from a reduced 29 overs. Paul Cuthbertson then took six for 26 as Mandhata where dismissed for 99.

Mayfield join the other two at the top after a convincing ten-wicket win over Cross Roads/ Daisy Hill.

Fourth-placed Cambing B could have gone top but had to settle for a point in a draw with Muff Field B.
