Bradley sit proudly at the Craven & District League summit halfway through the season after getting the better of Thornton in a low-scoring DIVISION ONE contest.

Fellow high-fliers Thornton struggled to 90 for nine as James Heseltine (5-32) and John Duffy (4-16) kept things tight.

Bradley slipped to 54 for three in reply but Neil Robinson and Chris Simpson completed the task.

Crossflatts climbed to second as Ryan Brooksbank destroyed bottom side Barrowford.

Brooksbank made a blistering 146 not out, supported by Mick Brooksbank (79) and Gary Cooke (61), to see the home side to a mammoth 316 for two and Barrowford could only manage 136 for nine in reply.

Embsay are up to third after edging out Sandy Lane by 20 runs as Scott Robinson (5-50) and Duncan Ward (4-42) dismissed the hosts for 113 when replying to a modest 133 for eight.

Glusburn came unstuck as Cononley posted 235 thanks to a second-wicket stand of 136 by Mark Paynter (90) and Aussie T Kassis (75).

Sean Williamson’s seven for 34 kept the total down but Kassis (8-52) then did even better as Glusburn were rolled over for 120.

Defending champions Cullingworth are down in eighth place after coming up short against Oakworth, who reached 227 for three thanks to Michael Scarborough (85no) and Robert Hopkinson (85). Brannon Varley (71) and Chris Welch (52) led the reply to 192 for eight.

Bingley Congs won the basement battle against Cowling by 56 runs to move above their relegation rivals.

Congs struggled to 106 against Martyn Dalby (7-34) but the visitors were hustled out for 50 by Iain Copping (4-1) and Adie Dibb (3-22).

Haworth Road have a five-point cushion at the top of DIVISION TWO after Chris Griggs’ century set up an easy win over Airedale.

In-form Griggs made 117 of his side’s 188 for six and Shami Ali (7-46) then brushed aside the Keighley visitors for just 72.

Second-placed Haworth were made to work hard for the points by Chatburn, who dismissed the hosts for 117 (Anthony Booth 5-43). But this proved too big a target as Gary Binns (6-68) and Jamie Rowell (4-21) earned their side a 17-run verdict.

Ingrow saw off Denholme by seven wickets to keep in the promotion hunt, Ian Roberts (6-27) restricting the visitors to 127 (David Wear 59) before Mark Price hit four sixes in an unbeaten 59 to secure the spoils.

Wilsden are in top form with the bat and they blasted 245 for eight at Long Lee, the highlight being a super knock of 101 not out by Tom Peirson. Long Lee were then dismissed for 158 by Dave Hahn (4-36).
