THORNTON’S Josh Hutchinson won the batting prize with an astonishing average of 111.33.

In only eight innings he managed to amass 334 runs, only being dismissed three times.

He narrowly beat Wibsey Park Chapel’s Kashif Naveed, who had the same number of innings and was dismissed three times, but who totalled 321 runs in the season.

Wibsey’s star player demonstrated his all-round ability on Finals Day, and this was emphasised by him winning the league bowling award, taking 16 wickets at a miserly 8.38.

Although Denholme did not win any silverware, they had two performers who scooped individual honours. Bowler Phil Poole crowned a fine season for him personally by winning the Division One bowling award, while Jack Hartley won the league fielding award.
