It may not have been quite as convincing as last season, but Woodlands’ fourth successive JCT600 Bradford League title was proof they are still the team to beat.
Their 2007 triumph saw them romp to glory by 72 points in a campaign which saw them go unbeaten for the whole season.
This time round they lost three matches and needed to beat Bowling Old Lane on the final day to clinch the crown by just two points from Pudsey Congs.
Now the Albert Terrace side, pictured with the league trophy, will be aiming to equal Congs’ record of five straight titles, which was achieved between 2000 and 2004.
