The weather might mean they are having to drag their heels in the Priestley Cup but Pudsey Congs were in no mood to hang around in the JCT600 Bradford League when they hosted fourth-placed Baildon.
Mohammed Naved (6-16) and Tom Glover (4-27) bowled unchanged as the visitors were dismissed for 48, only two players reaching double figures.
Second-placed Congs lost three wickets in reaching their target in 16.2 overs.
Bowling Old Lane hauled themselves out of the second relegation place with an emphatic seven-wicket victory at home to Cleckheaton.
The visitors were indebted to the Wood brothers in reaching 144 for eight, Ian making 33 not out and captain John 21 as Mansha Khan kept the pressure on in ideal conditions for his medium pace (3-40 off 15).
Riaz Kail (49) then laid the foundation for Khalid Rehman (52 not out in 82 balls) and Ayaas Akram (25 not out) to finish matters off.
Saltaire are now 12 points behind Old Lane in a demotion spot after losing by 119 runs at Pudsey St Lawrence.
Gareth Clough (72 not out) and Chris Marsden (43) added 75 for Saints’ third wicket, Clough and James Smith (45) putting on 74 for the fourth in their healthy 194 for six.
Tim Grey (4-11), Clough (2-15), Marsden (2-21) and Gary Severn (2-27) then bowled well for the winners.
No figures were better, however, than Grant Soames (5-5) and Andrew Robertson (4-10), who took Yeadon to a 102 run victory at Esholt.
Robertson (64), David Leather (36) and Aamir Sajjad (53) had helped Yeadon to 140 for one before they collapsed to 168 for seven.
Paul Park (38 not out) revived them though after left-arm spinner Ben Platt (5-44) had done the damage, and Esholt in turn crumbled from 67 for none to 114.
James Stansfield (6-49) and Imran Arif (4-26) bowled unchanged as Manningham Mills were shot out for 81 at Hanging Heaton, Arif completing a fine match with 52 not out as the hosts won by nine wickets.
Richard McCarthy continued his fine testimonial season by taking six for 20, David Clow chipping in with three for 16, as Bradford & Bingley won by eight wickets at Brighouse, who were dismissed for 43.
