BATLEY clinched the Championship A title and secured their place in next season's Bradford League top flight with a convincing eight-wicket win over Undercliffe.

Muhammad Tahir was their star man. He took 4-6 as Undercliffe were bowled out for 109 and was unbeaten on 27 as his side secured victory.

Aqeel Mukhtar made 50 not out while overseas player MIchael Loubser (45) top scored for Undercliffe.

Second-placed Yeadon saw their season end on a disappointing note. They were bowled out for just 90 at Baildon as veteran spinner Mushtaq Ahmed took 5-23.

Skipper Simon Bailey made an unbeaten 55 as Baildon eased to a six-wicket win.

Saltaire said goodbye to the Bradford Premier League on a high note as they defeated Ossett by 68 runs.

Adeel Ashraf (5-24) and Mohammed Munir (5-30) bowled out the home side for 72 when they replied to Saltaire's 140.

Wahab Mirza (41) top scored for Saltaire as skipper Charles Orme (4-35) and Harvey Anderson (4-36) top the bowling honours for Ossett.

Bottom team Idle recorded only their second win of the season as they defeated Keighley by six wickets.

Alex Robinson (6-33) was backed up by Jonathan Robinson (3-15) as Keighley were rolled over for 65.

Nick Kaye's unbeaten 75 enabled Birstall to end the season with a five-wicket win at Liversedge.

They chased down their opponents' total of 181-6 which included 51 from Paul Marlow.
