SKIPPER Jonathan Trevitt played the lead role as Liversedge notched a four-wicket win over Northowram Fields to win a nail-biting All Rounder Bradford Premier League Wheatley Cup final at Wrenthorpe.

Trevitt was voted man of the match after scoring an unbeaten 71 as his side chased down Fields' 156-8 with one over to spare.

The captain hit ten fours to ensure that his side lifted the trophy, despite them being reduced to 140-6 from 111-3 by Joshua Dodd (2-22) and Will Parkin (2-35).

Matthew Gibson (37) had earlier given good support to Trevitt in a second-wicket stand of 67 but the young Fields side paid dearly for five dropped catches, although they never stopped battling.

Liversedge won the toss and reduced Northowram to 20-3 as Adam Clark exploited the conditions in an eight-over spell of 3-24.

Spinner James Ives continued the good work with 3-12 as they plunged to 55-6 but Matthew Rushworth altered the momentum of the match with an unbeaten 61, which included two sixes and eight fours.

Fields must now focus their attention on winning the Conference second teams title.
