NOT even the weather can halt Championship B Division leaders Townville in the All Rounder Bradford Premier League.

They dodged the showers to make it 12 wins out of 12 after making 241-7, Carlton replying with 175-5 in a match of 70 overs.

Wrenthorpe avenged their early-season defeat at Bankfoot by winning the return match by five wickets.

Greg Wood made 45 not out as Wrenthorpe passed Bankfoot's 111-9, of which Neil Nicholson made 61, with 5.4 overs to spare. Shoukat Ali was the best of the Bankfoot bowlers with 3-42.

New Zealander Matt Holstein (72 and 3-49) was again the key figure for Altofts in their 33-run win over Gomersal in a 32-overs-per side contest, Adam Greenwood (55), James Russell (3-23) and Richard Wear (3-40) starring in reply.

The unluckiest team of the day were Bowling Old Lane, who – inspired by Ahsan Butt (102) and Adal Islam (82 and 6-29) – made 233-4 in 40 overs and had reduced Hartshead Moor to 53-9 when play was abandoned.

Rain also prevented a conclusion between Brighouse and Spen Victoria at Russell Way.

The home side made 142-9 in their 30 overs with Zafar Jadoon (38) top-scoring, young spinner Alex Leadbeater taking 3-35.

Spen Victoria's Kiwi opener Nick Montgomery was unbeaten on 31 when play was abandoned with his side 61-1.

In the Conference Division, Rodley lifted themselves off the bottom after defeating East Leeds by seven wickets.

Matthew Senior made 46 and Robert Young 38 as Rodley chased down their opponents' 130-9 to win with a ball to spare in the 30-overs-per side game, Andrew Keegan taking 3-21 for Rodley.

Adwalton are now propping up the table after their four-wicket defeat against leaders Northowram Fields.

The Drighlington club were restricted to 81-7 in their 27 overs as Zafar Khan took 3-28, Fields taking just 14.4 overs to seal victory.

Buttershaw St Paul's missed the chance to make up ground in the promotion race as they were defeated by newcomers Heckmondwike & Carlinghow for the second time this season.

St Paul's made 160-7 in their 36 overs, Kevin McDermott scoring 73 and Heckmondwike skipper Chris Allen taking 4-38 with his off spin.
