PUDSEY St Lawrence's Mark Robertshaw and Adam Waite are record breakers.

They put on 293 for the first wicket against Undercliffe, which was not only a best-ever partnership for openers in the Priestley Cup but also for any wicket in the 112-year-old All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League competition.

Robertshaw's 176 contained six sixes and 23 fours, while Waite's 120 included two sixes and 13 fours.

Their stand bettered the 273 set by Idle's Tony Moore and Malcolm Mawson against Cleckheaton, which was also the highest partnership for any wicket in the cup.

Robertshaw's score, which was the sixth highest in the competition, helped his side to an imposing 357-6, the best of the Undercliffe bowlers being former Saints left-armer Craig Wiseman (3-61).

With rain threatening, Undercliffe knew they had to score quickly in the event of the match becoming a comparison of scoring rates.

But their reply was cut short after 10.2 overs, at which point their score was 58-2.

Their scoring rate at the last completed over was 57-2, which gave them a scoring rate of 5.7 which compared to St Lawrence's 7.14.

Meanwhile, Woodlands' 20-year-old paceman Elliot Richardson won't forget his side's ten-wicket win over Baildon in a hurry after taking a stunning 8-24.

Only Ross Todd (22) made double figures as Baildon were bundled out for 44, a total that Woodlands raced past in seven overs, with Logan Weston smashing an unbeaten 43 from 28 balls.

Who will fill the other two places in the semi-finals on Sunday, July 17 still has to be resolved.

The tie between holders Bradford & Bingley and Hanging Heaton will have to be replayed after being rained off seven overs into the second innings – three overs before a comparison of scoring rates could be made.

Hanging Heaton made 198, Richard Foster (40), Imran Dawood (35) and David Stiff (31) leading the way, Yassir Abbas being the pick of the Bradford & Bingley bowlers with 3-39.

Bradford & Bingley were 38-1 when play was abandoned due to heavy rain.

Hanging Heaton's scoring rate was 3.96, and if the game had reached the ten-over mark, Bradford & Bingley would have needed a score of 40 to win

The match between Scholes and Lightcliffe was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
