Jamie Langley column Peter Pan comes here on Sunday for probably his last-ever match at Odsal.
Robbie Paul’s had an absolutely outstanding career and the majority of that has been spent at Bradford. He’s a Bulls legend and I’m sure fans will give him a massive welcome and send him off on a high note.
He’s a bit of a Peter Pan character as it really doesn’t seem two minutes since he was running that hat-trick in at Wembley or when he first came over with that fresh face!
He still looks not a day older than when he first pitched up – I don’t know what magical formula he’s been using!
Rob’s been going forever and I’m sure he’s got another couple of seasons in him at Leigh. He’s looked after his body well, he’s a good professional and probably deserved everything he’s got out of the game.
He’s been a great servant to our club and others as well. It’ll be great to see him on Sunday and I’m sure I’ll catch up with him after the game.
Rob’s been an outstanding player and it’ll be a fitting way to see him off.
He’s a very entertaining character and is obviously heading towards the media and telly. I think that’ll suit him down to the ground – I remember watching him have a little dance on the field before the Challenge Cup semi-final the other week! – and it’d be nice to see him stepping into Stevo’s or Eddie’s shoes sometime in the future!
As for us, mathematically we could still get to those play-offs. That’s the reality and we all understand that. I suppose we have to concentrate on what we have to do and that means beating Salford.
All the other results are out of our hands and it is going to take a minor miracle with all the fixtures to go our way. But stranger things have happened. We’ll wait and see.
