BRADFORD Bulls' fourth-round Ladbrokes Challenge Cup tie at Hunslet, which was called off on Sunday due to snow, has been re-arranged for Easter Monday (April 2 at 2pm).

"We did ask the Bulls if they wanted to play it this Sunday at South Leeds instead of our league match at Odsal, but they refused, which they are quite within their rights to do," said Hunslet's media manager Gareth Evans.

This weekend will be the Bulls' first home league match of the season, and sponsorship and corporate hospitality had already been arranged.

Evans added: "Then Easter Monday was the first available date at South Leeds as it is owned by Leeds City Council and we could not play it in midweek due to athletics commitments."

Having been paired in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup, they also meet this weekend in the fourth round of Betfred League One fixtures.

A morning pitch inspection from officials ruled out the chances of the fourth-round cup tie going ahead last Sunday after snow covered the South Leeds Stadium.

But Evans said yesterday: "The pitch is looking a lot better today, but we only have one groundsman and the pitch was quite badly cut up from our league match against North Wales Crusaders on Sunday, March 11."

Any tickets purchased for the Hunslet v Bulls cup tie will still be valid.

The draw for the fifth round of the cup will be live on the BBC website tonight (7.00).

Warrington Wolves, Hull KR, Widnes Vikings and Catalans Dragons will enter the draw alongside the eventual 12 winning sides from the fourth round.

To celebrate the launch of the 2018 Women’s Super League campaign, Wigan Warriors' women’s captain Gemma Walsh and St Helens Ladies' scrum half Faye Gaskin will pull the numbers out of the hat.
