Tom's my ticket to the soap awards!
Burgo is a bit of a social chameleon and he has somehow managed to start mixing with soap stars. He has been ‘papped’ sneaking off for a bite to eat with one of the cast of Corrie.
Good work Burg, don’t forget your good mate Scruts when you are deciding who to take to the soap awards!
The win over Castleford on Monday was not exactly a defensive-minded game.
It was great to score some good tries and put some points on the board. We did score some classy tries but, at the same time, it was just as disappointing to concede some sloppy scores.
I thought with the ball in hand we looked as smooth as we have done all year. We always looked comfortable but I’m afraid Rangi Chase caused us all kinds of problems. Thank God he’s ‘English’!
It was pleasing to pick up the win and get back into the top eight but even more pleasing that it was at Leeds’ expense as they dropped out of the play-off places!
The Rhinos caught Wigan on fire on Friday night and were up against a particularly red-hot Sam Tomkins.
I think that was one of the most clinical individual displays I’ve seen. He’s not the most popular player out there but he is head and shoulders above anyone else playing in Super League at the moment in my opinion.
We travel to Saints tonight and we know we need to improve on Monday’s performance if we are to get anything out of the game. If we defend like we did against Cas, then Saints will make it a very long night for us.
They have players who can score points from anywhere on the field and, with the likes of James Roby and Jonny Lomax, they have some of the best players in the league.
The short turnaround for us isn’t ideal but we are more than up for this game.
We can’t wait for tonight’s game. Langtree Park is supposed to be a top ground and we’re up for a top performance. Get down and get behind the boys.
