Lads were red hot as cup fever struck Odsal

The Challenge Cup – you can’t beat it!
It was great for us to run in a few tries at the weekend and practise some new stuff out there on the field.
I thought we were pretty good and every player who came in did a great job.
A special mention to Callum Windley, who made his debut for us and played brilliantly.
We played well enough to easily avoid a cup upset but Cas weren’t so lucky!
All the lads were chuffed for Featherstone, who had Briggsy in their side, and after that performance they fully deserved to be going through to the next round.
The game threw up a bit of controversy with a shoulder charge from Rangi Chase.
Apparently a three-match ban is all you get for breaking someone’s jaw in two places. Try telling that to Ropati, who is probably eating his dinner through a straw as I write this.
The next round has tossed up some interesting ties, none more so than ours versus Warrington.
If you want to win the Challenge Cup then you have to beat the best, so we’re all looking forward to the test and fighting to keep our cup run going.
It’s back to the Super League this week and Sunday sees the visit of the Giants at Odsal.
Huddersfield are riding high at the moment and deserve to be sitting at the top of the tree.
We’ll need to be at our best but we’ve really gained some momentum over the last few weeks and a Bulls side at our best can beat anyone.
The atmosphere against Leeds was electric and we produced the performance to match it, so get down to the game and give the boys that lift that only a buzzing Bulls crowd can.
Before I finish I would just like to wish a very big ‘good luck’ to James, a boy with Downs Syndrome who is walking from Whitley Bay to Odsal to raise money for the club. What an unbelievable young man!
