Steve McNamara

Rated one of the brightest young coaches in the game. The former Hull, Bradford and Great Britain loose forward, who was a major force in the Bulls' first Super League success in 1997, started as a player-coach at Huddersfield Giants under Tony Smith. He then moved back to Odsal as Brian Noble's assistant in 2003 before taking over the main job when Noble switched to Wigan midway through Super League XI. During his first two seasons in charge - also a great period of transition for the club with numerous star players leaving - McNamara has steered the Bulls to two third place finishes. Enrolled by Smith as Great Britain assistant for the historic series whitewash over New Zealand in autumn 2007 and tipped to be the next man in charge of the international side.
