IT WAS a fantastic win over Sheffield last week and I was delighted to be on the end of some great play from Adam Henry.

He produced a brilliant piece of skill to chip the ball forward and then collect it before sending me over the line.

If Adam gets more games, he will show what he can offer to the team because he's a very skilful player.

As a back, scoring tries is always good for confidence and any player will tell you that.

If you score a try, it makes you play better during the game and that was definitely the case with me last week.

I've played on the left and right this season but it felt good alongside Adam and there was some great combination play.

I thought we played well and we talked to each other a lot during the game on that right edge.

We really started to play well as a team last week and it's important because the Super Eights are gradually coming into focus.

We need to hit form at the right time, so to come up with such a strong performance against a quality side like Sheffield should fill us with confidence.

The Eagles are probably one of the best three teams in the Championship and for us to put nearly 50 points on them was pretty big.

I obviously had a spell at Sheffield last season, so it was good to come up against my old team-mates.

But when it's game-time it's game-time and you are not mates until you come off the field.

It was nice to see a few of the boys again and, most importantly, we got the win.

Now it's on to Whitehaven this weekend and, while I've been to Barrow, I've never been to Whitehaven.

It's a long drive and they won last week at Batley, so we will have to be on our game.

Finally, I must pay tribute to Danny Jones following his tragic passing last week.

It's hard to believe but the way the rugby league family has rallied around this week has said everything about the sport and, of course, how highly Danny was regarded by so many people.
