SHEFFIELD Eagles are the visitors to Odsal this weekend – and they are a team I know well.

I spent the back end of last season there on loan from Featherstone and helped them to the play-off semi-finals.

I really enjoyed it there and it was probably the best time I’ve had since moving over from Australia to the UK.

I played about eight games and scored the same number of tries, so it really was an enjoyable time for me.

Sheffield were looking at the prospect of keeping me there but I had already signed for Bradford at that point.

It’s a good club and I’m happy that they are doing well.

Mark Aston is a very good coach and a really good guy.

I enjoyed playing under Tubbs because he is very passionate about the game.

I know that he will have all their boys fired up for their trip to Odsal.

They have some very good players, such as Quentin Laulu-Togagae and Menzie Yere in the backs.

These are guys I played with and know well, so we know we are going to have to be on our game.

I’m pretty sure the boys will turn up this weekend and put in a top performance.

It was a tough game at Doncaster last week and a bit of a strange one.

We always seemed to be about 20 points ahead and then they would come back and score a couple of tries.

It was one of those ugly wins but a win is a win and we were glad to get the two points.

It is now time to put together an 80-minute performance and the boys know that.

Watching Sheffield play against Halifax last week, you could see what they are capable of, especially with Q (Laulu-Togagae) coming forward from full back.

They have got other guys such as Rob Worrincy, who scored a hat-trick last week, but they are strong in every department.

It is about what we do, though, and we know that if we play to our potential for the whole game then we’ve got a chance against anyone.
