I MISSED last week's game at Batley with a hamstring injury but it is feeling better now and hopefully I will be passed fit for selection this weekend.

It is coming on well and I trained the whole day on Thursday, so I'm definitely feeling better. That is pleasing and hopefully I will be fit to play and will get picked by Jimmy against Workington.

It's the Challenge Cup and it should be a good game against one of our Championship rivals. The boys have been playing well but if I do get picked then it will be good for me.

We are playing Workington twice in a week but I don't think that will affect anything. Yes, it's the same opposition for two games running but I think the boys will be all right.

Whatever doesn't work this week, we can tweak and put right for the week after. But we are only thinking about getting our performance spot on this week and nothing else.

We have won four games on the bounce now and that's a nice bit of momentum to take into the Challenge Cup game. There is real strength in depth in our squad and competition for places in every position, especially my own.

You look at the options that Jimmy has on the wings with myself, Danny Williams, Chris Ulugia and Adam Henry can play there too. It's a long old year and having such strength in depth could be invaluable as the season progresses.

Last week at Batley was a fantastic match and it was great to see the boys get the two points at the end. The support we had from the Bulls fans was awesome and it is something that we really appreciate as players.

Having that kind of following gives you a lift as a player – and it was the same at Leigh and Featherstone. Hopefully the fans can turn out in force once again this weekend against Workington.

We have won both our home games against Whitehaven and Hunslet this season and it would be great to continue that run against Workington in the next couple of weeks.
