Etu Uaisele column: I played for Featherstone last year and I’m looking forward to going back there.

We have watched them on video and I think there are only a couple of players left from last season.

It’s a big game for both teams and it will be a real challenge for us.

When I left Featherstone at the end of last season, I helped to build the grandstand at the Big Fellas Stadium.

I was supposed to be working in the community for the club but Fev said I owed them hours.

In order for me to go training with Bradford in October, I had to go and work 33 hours a week for a month – otherwise they wouldn’t pay me.

That was basically it, so I thought ‘I might as well work for a month’.

This was at the end of the season but they were still paying me for another two months.

I had to go back home for my mother’s funeral and my wife had another baby as well, but they said I wasn’t entitled to that time off.

I was working in the stand, so that was a bit different having to do labouring, especially when I had come to the UK to play rugby!

But I’m looking forward to the challenge of going back there.

The best part of last season was actually going to Sheffield Eagles on loan because everything that was going on at Fev wasn’t good for me.

At Sheffield I found a club where I could enjoy my rugby again and we went really well last year.

I was happy at Sheffield because I was going well with my performances but going back to Fev this week isn’t about proving a point to them.

I’m just glad I’m at Bradford now and I want to play well for them.

I want to have a good game and get the two points but I know Fev will step up their game this week because they are playing us.

It looks like Hame (Epalahame Lauaki) could be playing this weekend and I know he can make a big impact for us.

He has looked good in training and he will be massive for us when he gets on the field.

Hopefully we can go there and get the job done.
