Jamie Foster column

After my recent injury setback, my rehab’ is progressing really well. There is going to be no operation and the pain I was getting from certain movements has reduced massively.

I’m not too far off at all and would like to think I will be in contention for the Warrington Wolves game. That’s what I’m targeting in my mind.

Things have come on very well with it. After the Magic Weekend game against Huddersfield, I had a million things going on in my head.

I didn’t know if I needed it operated on but I’m getting next to no pain from it now. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back doing what I was doing at the beginning of the year.

This weekend’s game against Widnes is massive for us now and it seems like an eternity since I watched a game at Odsal.

It’s such a tough place to go as an opposition player – and I know that from personal experience myself. That’s something we need to start building on again.

We had it off to a tee at the beginning of the year. Nobody wanted to come and play at Odsal and I think if we can get a win this weekend it will give us a real boost.

We know which games we need to be winning and this is definitely one of them. We need to be picking the points up if we’ve got any real ambition of kicking on this year.

I went to the St Helens game with my gran and grandad and it was a very disappointing day. To claw ourselves back into the game and really give ourselves a chance but then spoil it with a couple of silly decisions was very frustrating.

To be quite honest, it’s probably been the story of the last six weeks for us. It’s not like everyone is underperforming massively. It’s just little mistakes which are costing us.

But it’s not a crisis or anything like that. We know we’re not too far away and it’s just a matter of staying tight and getting back to winning ways.
