I was absolutely delighted with last week’s win over Wakefield and it was fantastic to play in front of the Bulls supporters.

It’s a long season and it’s going to be tough at times but we’ve had a good start and can build on it.

I’m very fortunate to be playing with some very good players.

Jarrod Sammut was outstanding against Wakefield and Brett Kearney bossed me around the field.

I just kind of tag onto all the good things that he’s doing.

As soon as I hear a call I try and get on the back of it and sort my wingers and centres outside of me to give them some opportunities.

I try and take things from different players. You look at Sam Tomkins and he is the crème de la crème as a full back.

I try and base my game around Tomkins and others like him by making it as uncomfortable for the opposition as possible.

To score a try was a brilliant feeling. I had come close in a couple of friendlies and it was great to finally touch down.

It was one of the easiest I’ll ever score and certainly won’t be making the shortlist for try of the season at the end of the year!

But I really am enjoying my rugby again. I’m happy here and that’s the main thing for me.

Now it’s on to Hull tonight – a club where I enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.

No disrespect to Wakefield, but Hull are going to provide a bigger test.

I watched them last Friday against Leeds and they weren’t at the races in the second half.

But I know what Peter Gentle is like and he will be straight on top of them this week.

They’re going to come out all guns blazing but we couldn’t be going there with any more confidence than we have at the moment.

We’re a tight-knit bunch here and we’re playing well.

We’ve set realistic targets that we believe we can meet and nothing changes.

Let’s go there and give it a good go.
