Five new signings in Bradford Bulls squad

Bulls coach Mick Potter could hand debuts to a handful of new signings on Sunday after announcing his squad for the Super League opener at home to Catalan Dragons.

Elliot Kear, Adrian Purtell, Luke Gale, Jarrod Sammut and Phil Joseph are all included but fellow new recruits Keith Lulia, Manase Manuokafoa and Karl Pryce remain sidelined by injury.

Heath L'Estrange, Matt Diskin and Jamie Langley have all been passed fit but there is no place in the squad for Shaun Ainscough, Danny Addy or Kyle Briggs.

Squad: Kear, Diskin, Donaldson, Bateman, L’Estrange, Burgess, Crookes, Gale, Hargreaves, Sammut, Kearney, Kopczak, Purtell, Langley, Scruton, Sibbit, Joseph, Jeffries, Walker

5 new signings! This evening's Widnes versus Wakefield game will have 30 new signings! We should think ourselves lucky.
Some of those named will start a little "ring-rusty". Let's hope they're up to speed. The cold weather will be a shock to many of the Dragon players' systems. They will certainly need fire in their bellies if they are not to be swept away by a Bulls avalanche. If the Bulls are prepared, passionate and fired-up for this, they can sneak it. At home, it is one that they really be putting in the two points column.
So, here we go again. A good, positive start is what the Bulls and their followers desperately need.

Small pack that we are going to have out, hopefully we can match the catalans for 80 mins as they are a big set. We need Whitehead, Elima, Maofooka in asap.
Roll on Sunday at a freezing cold odsal good news is its only £5 for a hot cup of coffee or £12.50 for a hot dog to warm up

Hargreves is not a 2nd row. be better putting Bateman @ 13 and langers at 12

I tend to agree with all you guy,s ,you can all pick a team , but you need good players to pick from, thats where it all goes t*ts up you ain't got any. just looked at the S/L table tonight and the bulls are top (last updated at 07/12/11), make the most of it cause thats the only time you will be . On a more friendly note i do agree with what 90% of you say it is time for a big change in management/directors
hip, this was once a great club , and i dare say will be once again someday , until then Happy Hunting

The worry for me if we don't play Bateman or Addy is we have 3 backrowers that couldn't score or create a try if their lives depended on it! Look at all top clubs (Leeds-sinfield, Wigan-o'laughlin, saints-wilkin) they have something about them, we're just a team of numb battering rams!
