A new-look Bulls side containing eight new signings thumped Halifax 50-8 to mark Jamie Langley's testimonial.

The going was good early on as Gareth Raynor claimed a debut try within eight minutes, pouncing when James Haley spilled Danny Addy's chip.

Another try followed on 23 minutes, Heath L'Estrange darting through to score from dummy half, Marc Herbert's conversion making it 10-0.

But Fax hit back when Sean Penkywicz cut an angled run through the left-side defence to cross the whitewash and Joe Chandler powered over the line.

Bradford improved after the break and Herbert scored a well-taken solo effort within two minutes of the restart, Patrick Ah Van picking up kicking duties to convert.

Talented 16-year-old John Bateman had a hand in the next two tries, touching down in the corner before producing a strong run and off-load to set up Jason Crookes, Ah Van converting the latter.

Shad Royston scored a debut try after great work from Elliott Whitehead and Herbert, who also provided the pass for L'Estrange's second, Ah Van tagging the extras on both.

Whitehead crossed the try-line after a smart delayed pass from L'Estrange before Michael Platt rounded off the scoring five minutes from time, Ah Van again converting both.
