Hull FC 18 Bulls 6

The Bulls suffered their fourth defeat of the season after a tough game at the KC Stadium.

Having dominated for much of the first half, they simply couldn't make their possession count and Matt Orford's absence was obvious.

The Aussie scrum half was ruled out through illness and although Brett Kearney and Paul Sykes were solid in the halves, they couldn't provide the spectacular.

Sykes kicked a penalty to put Bradford ahead but Jordan Tansey touched down either side of half time to put Hull in command, Danny Tickle converting both.

Former Bull Lee Radford twisted over the line to add a third try before Stuart Reardon scored a late consolation.

The time keeper screwed us over after 5 minutes added to the first half, what a disgrace, and the ref screwed us too. Bulls will come back from this. COYB!!!!!!!!!

"Matt Orford was pretty ill during all week, as were a few of the boys. I'm extremely proud of them all and the effort they've put in.
"It's been a pretty tough period so, with the amount of effort they've put in, it's disappointing not to get something.
"It was one of those real tight games but, when you look at the game overall, we conceded one with the last play of the first half with a scrum, one from a ball that comes loose and one from dummy half. It was never going to be a points fest."

Steve McNamara's words..... I really do not understand his logic.

It sounded dire on the radio so I expect it was even worse for the paying spectators.
Quote from a Radio Humberside commentator "I don't think the Bulls could score even if Hull walked off the field!"
and
"It is a long time since I saw such a boring game of Rugby!"
Definitely one to forget. Who's up next week? Let's hope it's Harlequins, at home.

By my watch Hull scored on 45mins,
where did all the extra time come from!! there 2nd try was fortunate as the ball popped out inthe tackle which caught us out on the right edge
I thought Thaler had a good first half,
He started the 2nd blowing for every Bulls indisgretion which at times felt unbalanced. Langers our best player this year was at times showing the after effects of his illness but kept goin (should have been made captain) We should have been at least two scores up before half time but once again we lacked the imagination to break through, losing the Ox was crucial, Kearney did his best. disapointing to lose but at least we kept hold of the ball this week in slippy conditions. We have to sort our kicking game out as this is a real area of concern! I have to say Hull were not as good as they think they are. On the way back i listened to radio humberside. they are so up them selves calling the Bulls slow and poor, even i would'nt go that far
