Great shirt now that Ox is wearing it!

Will he be in in tonight or the new red away kit?

Like what he is saying about nothing too silly, just the basics and lets get the result.

Pretty sure he and Kearney and L'Estrange will be looking forward to the summer with harder pitches but I think our forwards will be too strong for Giants tonight and this should give the likes of Ox and co plenty of opportunity to shine for us!!

Camp in the Huddersfield half, get more repeat sets and starve them of the ball. We may have the pack and halves to beat them but their backline is fast,strong and in open space cause problems. Can't wait! Let Super League battle commence!

if they approach the game with too much caution i think it could hinder them, i am all for a disciplined approach but i hope they are not too rigid and allow themselves to play a bit too when the opportunity arises !

Either way as long as the effort and commitment are there i think we will do ok. So COYB!!

At last we have a Scrum Half who knows how to carry the side into the opponents half with his clever tactical kicking. For too long the Bulls have been pushed back to defend their own line and any attempts to kick out have usually been put straight to an opposing player and so the onslaught has continued.
Now we have a player who can kick long and into gaps and once in the opponents half he can read the game and do to them what we have had to endure for far too long. Kicks behind the defence, jabs into the in goal, kicks out to the wings and high bombs are all a large part of Orfords game. The Bulls have been able to watch these skills in recent years but unfortunately it's been Briers or Long etc., doing it to us. Now the tables are turned.Go get em Bulls!!

hi, Howards mum, i cant believe he has started telling tales out of school! but if he is really upset then i can only apologise and promise i will make sure that the big boys wont be waiting for him at the bus stop anymore

too right Haitch, Feild kicking has been a problem for a long time and i think we have now got the man to sort this area of our game out. If the idea is to grind the other team down then playing in their half of the pitch off the back of a good kick is vital, It will also be nice to see a penalty kick for touch take us more than 10 yards down the Field.

Thank you "steampig" he is a good boy really, he just thinks Being an internet warrior makes him all big and clever, as you can tell he didn’t do so well at school, so trying to wind people up on a faceless web site is his only pleasure in life, well except playing tents in his bedroom.

If we can get some speed from the play the ball that cute little Wayne Godwin can do some real damage. I hear that Craig kopzcak won’t be playing tonight, thats a shame I hope Mr Whitehead gets a go instead. COYB!

We found Huddersfields compressed defence out last season, second game. IT opened the door for wire to use similar tactics in the cup final.

We'll play right into their hands if we're too cautious, need to get the ball out wide, and fast and catch them short on the flanks.

you lot forgotten already all the tries scored by bulls in their better days that resulted from the kicking of deac's. 40/20's at important times that resulted in us getting a win,not to mention his consistant goal kicking. Short memories some of you, i know deac's now past his best,but believe me it was not through HIS lack of effort bulls had the season they had last year.

The Whino's have had a prety easy start to the season, Crusaders then Cas, where as We have to play 2nd and 3rd placed finishers from last season in our first 2 games, I think we will win But it will be close,

Remember Deacs well. His 40/20s were great (when they came off) but he was never in the same class as a Long or Briers. His Goal Kicking is undisputed but his field kicking in general was woeful at times as he always seemed to go straight down the throat of the fullback. His limitations became very obvious when he lost that good team from around him. This guy Ox is in a different league as you'll come to see. I'm not knocking Deacs as a great loyal clubman but to me since his horrendous injury he has been struggling and lost the class he had prior to it. Ox is world class for me and will organise the Bulls better than ever they have been under any S/H since S/L began. There I go predicting when I usually leave that to others!!

Macca to Roosters?? Are you trying to build our hopes up. It's feasable I suppose with him being bessy mates and all that and Macca would make a superb assistant to Smith. Just wish the rumour was of it happening in the opposite direction.Keep taking the wee dram viking and feeding us the info.!!

Bradford have bought very well this season and have got a very special player in Matt Orford. He is a great organiser and he knows Steve Menzies inside out because they played together at Manly and he will be looking to set him up outwide.

We saw in last year's Club challenge when Orford was with Manly how he just cut up Leeds at crucial moments. He is a player you cannot really control or fathom out. He is not the quickest player off the mark but he has a great rugby brain. I think that is what Bradford have been missing - no offence to Paul Deacon but I think he played one play the same far too often. Orford will certainly mix it up and he is thinking all the time.

Also worth a mention. (see Bulls website) I see all the "home" adult shirts have sold out in an"unprecedented" pre season at Bradford. Just shows somebody plans to wear them!!

Sorry Bulls fans but I have just got home after watching the most inept performance I have ever seen in my life . Not one stand out player inc orford in the squad. A bunch of has beens without a clue is what I class them as. out classed by a third rate Side of fringe players we ARE NOTHING SHORT OF A DISGRACE. I love the bulls but not this lot may I be the first to say Macca you must go ! We have no chance in hell of any glory im so **** off i can not explain.£20 wasted £ 168 wasted a total disgrace. One positive for us I have heard on the grape vine a burger is only £2.40 this season it was £2.50 last year.

Pretty terrible display. No discernable change in attack from last year; no ideas, imagination or penetration even though they were down to 12 for twenty mins in total. Defence wasn't great either until about the 60 min mark when we got it together. So many silly errors it was just shambolic.

A few questions about management too. For example, L'estrange didn't play more than 30 mins in ANY game last season yet it took Macca until the 53rd minute to bring Wagga on.

Credit to Hudds but not a good start at all.

OMG, it's round 1 against the best defence in the league. Hadly a disgraceful result with 4 tries to 3. Yes, plenty to work on but still plenty there to be optimistic. We're a prop light off the bench and I reckon we'd be better with Godwin setting the pace instead of L'Estrange. BUT, the threequarter line (Inc. Sheriffe I might add) did very little wrong. If we cut the errors, get timing right and sliding defence move quicker, we'll be in the hunt this year. Very disappointed with the number of repeat sets. 6/10 good effort but much to improve on!

totally outclassed. whilst i know it will take time for our team to gel, what happened to this great kicking game that was going to replace deac's, Down the defences throat all night ,it never improved.
goal attempts were abismal.
As for langley, good job he was not given captains job . if he carries on like tonight ,giving away penalties, he'll spend more time in the sin bin than on the field,
halley at F/B would not take a tackle,handed that job to someone else all night. Sorry guys but if this is wha we have to look foreward to it's going to be a long hard season.

I predict NRL clubs will be clammering for Nathan Browns signature before the end of the season. If losing means bottom place, then it looks like Bulls will share it with Leeds...Dream on guys!

Well.... same old same old... the bulls attack is a joke, one man runs thru the defence. the man behind gets it... same attacj every time. they have created nothing at all.
Tonight was a disgrace of attacking football. bradford knocked on 3 times.. suddenly given 3 penalties on the back of them the giants had a 3 try lead.

Jamie langley, lynch and scrutton and orford were outstanding. sadly let down by the rest.

1. Halley - has pace, nothing else.
2, Sherife of nottingham - one good run, tripe under the high ball
3 Sykes - went missing?
4 Nero - was he playing tonight touched ball twice in 2nd half. stealing wages.
5 Readon - went well with ball in hand.
6 Kearney - needed the ball more
7 Orford - can see the blokes class, great short passes just needs the players to run for him
8 Scrutton - ran hard and well, needs help.
9 Le'strange - did the basics
10 lynch - top effort
11- menzies - needs the ball more to be a threat. too quiet
12 Hall- looks unfit
13 Langley - Best player by a mile. took it up all night

apart from donaldson the bulls bench didnt give them anything.

Mcnamara really needs to introduce new moves. the bulls are far too easy to defend against. 1st game but very very dissapointing.

the fans wont tollerate it this year.

To judge a team on one game is ridiculous. What are you going to say should the Bulls beat Saints next week? Giants were superb. You should watch BOTH sides. Adey is one of the few talking sense.

Again rubbish im sorry were out classed from the word go ! Huddersfield are average at best we were poor at best ! clueless in attack clueless in defense face it nothing has changed same old up the middle of the park crap ! Props were very poor as was Hall. Koppy to soft again, Scruton has had no impact. L'estrange was worse than I've ever seen Godwin and was wondering when he was going to come on the field.

Beaver has played better aswell.

If more of them carried the ball Langley then maybe we'd make more ground.

Will somebody tell Macca that Worrincy is useless and then we'd get twice as much out of Whitehead.

Donno pretty much spot on again and Reardon took his chances well.

hi haitch we were sat behind the sticks, its early days but we were poor too many unforced errors reardon came out of the line twice and let cudjoe in, we had our chances but couldent keep hold of the ball i do think the team needs time to gel so im not too worried yet, what does concern me is we need a goal kicker in tight games they can win you the match. p.s i wonder how howards feeling getting stuffed at headingly!

The first game for us was a major one after the disgrace of last season lossing was not the question how we lost was ! inept , poor , unsatisfactory macca out now no time to lose Hood for gods sake !

Haitch - I enjoy reading your posts your a knowlegdable guy & I respect you but be honest we are hopeless ! we could have been playing cas acadamy tonight & still we would have lost. The coaching is at fault here nothing else ! macca has to go as soon as possiblenothing has changed.

Yes players do need a bit of time to gel but how much longer do we give the coach who keeps dishing up the same thing ever week of every season?

I'm not going to crucify him or the team here tonight, but there needs to be big improvements and there needs to be improvements very soon otherwise this season will just be like the last one.

Hey Michael At Last! I agree with everything you say. Nathan Brown had Giants on fire and they only had one warm up game. Still they are a settled squad but their defence was superbly marshaled. Macca in comparison did not have his side in the same shape, but they are a new team, almost. I agree we must see speedy improvement but I saw enough in that game to say it's there. The 3/4's are never going to be good enough, although Reardon was blamed for coming off his line and on one occasion it was a superb dummy run and pass that drew him in. I'm glad you haven't joined the band of disappointed knockers and are prepared to see a game or two before making a final judgement. Believe me I'll not be accepting the same as last season either but I don't see that happening.

you were Right Matt Nothing FLASH just Down right Awful. Reardon Was Woeful as well as Sykes and that other Centre Nero. Mr RL said they have No Idea Going Forward same one out kicks. And For once Stevie G was actually trying his best to help you out. Yes and the Rhinos were awful as well No Excuses The Best Side won!!!!!
