BRADFORD Bulls have made history by winning the first Women's Super League Grand Final.

With the Women's Challenge Cup silverware already in their trophy cabinet, they were only leading injury-hit Featherstone Rovers 16-6 at half-time before taking the second half 20-0 at Manchester Regional Arena to complete a 36-6 success.

Captain Kirsty Moroney set the tone for the Bulls, who had plenty of vocal support, by scoring a brilliant try in the first minute, with Claire Garner converting.

Determined to repeat the hat-trick she scored against Rovers the last time they met, player of the match Lois Forsell got the second try after a delightful run, with Garner again adding the extras to make it 12-0.

Half-back Jodie Roach got Fev on the board with an individual try, but the Bulls responded with their third try after a 40-metre run by Charlotte Booth to make it 16-6 at the interval.

The first score of the second half was going to be vital, and it went to Garner, who slithered over the line and tagged on the additional two points.

Moroney then dropped the ball over Rovers' line, but Amy Hardcastle was not going to be stopped, sweeping past Rhianon Marshall, Sarah Dunn and Kayleigh Bulman for the Bulls' fifth try, which was again improved by Garner.

Their next try began with a Booth play-the-ball a metre from their line, and Rovers just ran out of players as the Bulls swept downfield, Jess Courtman unselfishly giving the try-scoring pass to Charlene Henegan with ten minutes left.

Garner added the goal from wide out and, on the final hooter, replacement Haylie Hields survived a big hit to score the Bulls' seventh try, thereby sealing their league and cup double.

The Bulls also finished the season with a 100 per cent winning record.
