BRADFORD Bulls will be chasing Grand Final glory in Manchester today.

Their women's team are bidding cleansweep of this season's major honours against Featherstone - the team they defeat 50-16 in the Challenge Cup final earlier this season.

The Bulls will start hot favourites at the Manchester Regional Arena in a match that kicks off at noon.

They crushed Featherstone 72-10 just a fortnight ago as they completed their league season with a 100 per cent record.

One person who is keeping his feet on the ground is head coach Mark Prescott.

He said: "I think Featherstone will have improved since we played them in the Challenge Cup final and I think it's going to be a very tough test, but were all looking forward to it.

"One thing we have got this year is strength in depth, through all the team we've got good players and any one of them could be player of the match on the day.

"We've got eight or nine potential England Players that are going to the World Cup as well so we expect very good performances from them."

Featherstone reached the final in the most dramatic manner with a golden point win over Thatto Heath-St Helens in last week's semi-final.

England captain Andrea Dobson kicked the decisive drop goal and will be one of her side's key players.

"Featherstone will have a high contingent of potential England World Cup stars as well so the teams are probably evenly matched, but I think we've got slightly more strength in depth," said Prescott.

While the Bulls men's team have struggled to be successful and been relegated from the Kingstone Press Championship, the women have gone from strength to strength.

Skipper Kirsty Moroney played a big part in Challenge Cup final win and is an extremely influential member of the team.

They also can expect the noisy backing of their supporters as they look to put another piece of silverware in the trophy cabinet.

Prescott was overwhelmed by the support of the fans at the cup final and seemed humbled with the praise from the club itself.

He said: "In the lead up to the cup final I really realised this is the women's game and the club is all about the men, but my eyes were opened the that day when about 800 Bulls fans turned up to support us with a drummer, a trumpeter and a flag waver.

"The success in the women's club has put a smile on people's faces.

"I had no idea in the Challenge Cup final how many people were going to be there, but I do know some fans that have had their coaches re-directed so they can watch our match this afternoon then travel to Old Trafford to watch Leeds Rhinos play Castleford Tigers. I'm sure there will be a lot of people cheering us on."

"After we won the cup we had the trophy re-presented at the next home game and did a lap of honour. We got a standing ovation. "I'm sure the fans be there in numbers to support us."
