COLTON Roche admits he is unsure where he will be playing his rugby next year.

The Ireland international has been one of the more consistent performers during a difficult campaign at Odsal.

That form has not gone unnoticed by other clubs in Super League and the Championship.

Hull KR, the early front-runners for him, have appeared to cool their interest but the 24-year-old looks destined to be leaving the Bulls.

Roche is out of contract at the end of the season but insists he remains in the dark about what will happen next.

He said: "I don't know where I'll be next year. It's a case of my manager speaking to Bradford and seeing if they do want to keep me next season, then take it from there.

"Bradford are the club where I am right now – but obviously I've got a family to consider and everything like that. All little things will come in to play.

"But at the moment I'm just playing for this year and we'll see what happens after that. Then hopefully I'll know a little bit more but in terms of specifics, I don't really know anything yet."

Geoff Toovey has put a brave face on James Bentley's announced departure for St Helens by suggesting that it will not necessarily signal a stampede of young talent leaving the Bulls.

Yet he knows they are powerless to prevent Super League clubs coming in with offers of top-flight rugby.

Despite relegation to League One in 2018, Roche believes there are signs that the club are turning it round after a year of upheaval and uncertainty on and off the field and said: "I think we're building something good here.

"If something can get sorted out and the club does want to keep me and a few of the other boys and build on that with some good experienced players, then I think it will be an absolutely awesome club to be at. But we'll have to see what happens."
