LEIGH Beattie has spoken about the difficulty in integrating loan players into training.

Bradford face the daunting task of tackling Kingstone Press Championship leaders Hull KR in the Summer Bash at Blackpool on Saturday night.

Beattie, the Bulls' interim coach, reflected: "We can only play five loan players anyway – and with the Leeds lads in there as well, there is sometimes only room for one of the Widnes lads.

"It would be nicer if I had a selection headache about our players, who we could work with week in, week out, rather than loan players who either aren't training with us or only training with us at the back end of the week.

"It is pretty tough if they aren't training with us all the time – but most of the players are smart. It is just the calls that are different but the more that you practice the calls, the better you are."

Beattie added: "Leeds have been good with us and the lads have been here most of the time, for example all of the two weeks leading up to the Broncos match.

"Kevin Larroyer (on loan from Castleford Tigers) tends to come in at the back end of the week, as do the other loan players when we know who is available."

The Bulls could be without experienced stand-off Leon Pryce against Hull KR this weekend.

The 35-year-old former England and Great Britain player left the field just before half-time last Sunday during the 56-12 home defeat to London Broncos.

Bulls skipper Pryce suffered a knee injury and was replaced by Joe Keyes.
