THE Bulls are set to announce the dual-registration signing of props Ted Chapelhow and Sam Brooks from Super League side Widnes Vikings.

Both players are scheduled to make debuts in the Championship game against Sheffield Eagles on Sunday, when the Bulls – who were docked 12 points at the start of the season – are seeking to reach zero.

Chapelhow, 21, has featured five times for the Vikings this season and previously played in the Championship for Whitehaven. His twin brother Jay also play for Widnes.

Brooks, 23, has made two Vikings appearances this season but has also played for Halifax, Rochdale Hornets and Whitehaven in the last three seasons. A Scottish international, he played against England and Australia in last year's Four Nations.

The double signing is the first since the announcement of a dual-registration agreement between Bradford and Widnes earlier this week. The Bulls are still desperately short of options after losing several key players to injuries or recall.

Both Lee Smith (knee) and James Bentley (broken finger) have been ruled out for the next few weeks, while Ross Peltier needs another game to recover from a broken hand.

On-loan French international Kevin Larroyer was recalled by Castleford this week and new 'signing' Dane Chisholm is another who will not figure this weekend as the Bulls continue to argue with Sheffield over his transfer.

There is still no sign of Samoan sevens star Phoenix Tavita Hunapo-Nofoa, whose arrival has been delayed since the start of the season due to problems with employment paperwork.

Half-back Joe Keyes, however, returns to the squad after shaking off ankle trouble and Ethan Ryan has recovered from a knock suffered against Toulouse.

This weekend's game will take place at Belle Vue in Wakefield, where the Eagles are playing all their home games this season. The financially-struggling Championship club were forced to leave Sheffield's now demolished Don Valley Stadium four years ago.

They have subsequently played at four different venues – Owlerton Stadium in Sheffield, Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, the Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park and now Wakefield Trinity's headquarters.
