KEVIN Larroyer's return to his home-town club may have ended in a painful defeat – but he insists the Bulls can take positives from their humbling in France.

Another young and inexperienced Bradford line-up were given a harsh rugby league lesson at Toulouse Olympique on Saturday, as the hosts' try count ran into double figures.

Larroyer was recalled from his loan stay with the Bulls today due to Castleford Tigers' mounting injury crisis.

However, prior to that announcement, the French second-row insisted that the Bulls must slash their error count in order to compete.

"It was a really disappointing defeat," he remarked. "Nobody in the team expected that, so it is a big lesson and we need to learn from it.

“We looked sloppy and we didn’t start the game well, and after that it was just too hard to come back.

“We had some tough calls against us as well but, as always, it was our own mistakes that have made the game really hard.

"We gave the ball back too easily and gave away silly penalties and silly drop balls, so we need to work on that."

Saturday's Bulls squad again had an average age of little over 20, with the likes Matthew Storton, Brandon Pickersgill and Evan Hodgson stepping up from the Under-19s.

“I’m really proud of our youngsters," added Larroyer. "They turned up and gave everything – they gave 100 per cent.

“This is definitely the youngest team I’ve played in, but it is really exciting to play with them because they’re full of energy and make lots of exciting runs. Now we just need to get some points and some more wins under our belt."
