SCOTT Moore is confident Halifax can become another visiting scalp at Fortress Odsal this evening.

Fax have been a thorn in the side in recent duels, winning four in a row until the Bulls finally got one over them in August on the way to the Championship Shield.

But this season’s home form has been a bedrock in the fight to dump the 12-point penalty.

The Bulls have bounced back from the opening loss in the snow against Rochdale with four wins on the bounce at Odsal.

Another tonight in the West Yorkshire derby would see them achieve the season’s first milestone of reaching zero points.

Hooker Moore said: “Any team wants to make their home ground a fortress and a place where others don’t want to come because they are going to be put to the sword.

“We’re trying to do that and trying to coach into some of the younger lads that we don’t lose at home now.

“Since I’ve been here, we’ve only lost one game at Odsal which was the Challenge Cup and we didn’t have any players.

“It’s going well and we want to keep that going.

“There’s nothing worse as a player than going to a ground where you know you are going to get belted.

“A lot of it is psychological and if you can get any advantage like that that, it’s probably for the better.”

Acting coach Leigh Beattie is likely to call upon his full squad to deal with the rigours of playing twice in three days. Smith admits the Bulls will need everyone to step up and play their part.

He added: “Easter is crazy and the games come round before you’ve even had chance to blink.

“It’s essential one to 17 play well for us because we haven’t got the strength in depth to be able to chop and change it.

“We haven’t got the big names to come through and win games for us like Hull KR and people like that. We haven’t got that individual strike power.

“We need to be a team where everyone turns up every week and grinds really hard and is on their game.

“Hopefully we can knock off another win against Halifax, then dust ourselves down and be ready to go again on Monday.”
