KEVIN Larroyer dreams of playing in Super League for Toulouse Olympique.

The Bradford Bulls star was not only born in Toulouse but started his rugby league career in the French city.

It broke his heart to walk away from his home-town club five years ago but a return over the course of the next few years is now high on his list of priorities.

Larroyer, 27, is currently on a season's loan with the Bulls from Castleford Tigers, and is set to make his home debut tomorrow against Toulouse at Odsal.

The French outfit returned for a second spell in English rugby only last season and immediately won promotion from Kingstone Press League One.

They are now setting their sights on promotion to the top-flight and are sitting third in the Championship table after two victories from their opening three games.

"When I was a kid, I thought I would spend all my career in Toulouse but, when they went back to the French championship (in 2011) I wanted more," Larroyer explained.

"It was really heart-breaking for me to leave but I wanted to take my chance in Super League. Now I hope that one day I will go back and give back everything they gave to me. It is my dream to finish my career with Toulouse in the Super League."

Larroyer was only 20 when he made his senior debut for Toulouse against Keighley Cougars in the Challenge Cup seven years ago.

When they returned to the French league, the second rower opted to stay in Super League with French rivals Catalan Dragons before subsequently spending two seasons at Hull KR.

He still has many friends at Toulouse including head coach Sylvain Houles who he played alongside during his debut season.

"I would say the club is more structured now," he said. "When I started, seven years ago, it was a brand new project and we were all learning. The club is much better now.

"Sylvain is doing a very good job," he added. " He played for seven years in Super League so he knows what he is talking about. I am really happy to see the club growing year on year.

"And I strongly believe they are going to be in the top four this year because they have a really good squad. They haven't brought many players in - but the squad they have is quality especially with the two halves Johnathon Ford and Stanislas Robin. If they stay clear of injury, they can carry the team up to the middle eight."

Naturally, Larroyer is ready to put sentiment to one side tomorrow as the Bulls look to build on last weekend's first win of the season against Swinton Lions.

"I won't be thinking too much about Toulouse on Sunday - I will be concentrating on the job I have to do for Bradford," Larroyer stressed.

"I have not come here 'on holiday', I have come here to work really hard and give some strong performances. It's good to be back playing, to get some match-fitness and, if I give some good performances for Bradford, I will hopefully get a chance in the Super League with Castleford."
