BRADFORD Bulls have announced a new partnership with Utilita Energy, who will become the new main shirt sponsor this season.

The independent energy supplier will replace Provident, who are continuing their sponsorship of the stadium and main stand.

Bulls operations manager Russ Macfarlane said: “This is a great commitment for both companies to make, and to have a huge company like Utilita strengthens the backing that not only the fans have in the club, but also in the corporate domain."

Utilita, who offer free smart meters to every customer, expect to welcome its 500,000th consumer shortly – up from just 200,000 as recently as 18 months ago, and has recently opened new call centres in Sheffield and Glasgow.

Jem Maidment, head of marketing and communications at Utilita Energy, said: “Make no mistake, the Bulls are a global brand and, having spoken with Andrew Chalmers and heard the plans for the club, we believe they will soon be back where they belong in the Super League.

“This is Utilita’s first partnership in Rugby League and we are honoured, excited and proud that it is with the Bradford Bulls.”
