HAVING watched Bradford Bulls for the first time in match action yesterday, Geoff Toovey says that the players are not lacking passion.

The former Australian international, who cannot take over as coach until his visa arrives, watched the Bulls lose their Joe Phillips Memorial Trophy clash 25-24 at Cougar Park.

Toovey, who had a watching brief role with the team again being coached by Leigh Beattie, said of the defeat to Keighley Cougars: "It was a hard contest for both sides and the passion was there.

"It is just about finding a way to win.

"It was frustrating because we were 12 points up and then they got the intercept try (by Andy Gabriel) when we probably should have scored ourselves.

"That then raised Keighley's momentum and they won it with a field goal to snatch victory, but that is rugby league and it happens"

Toovey added: "We had four sets, made three mistakes and Keighley scored two tries, and that is something that I will try to eradicate as it will mean we won't have to defend as much."

Meanwhile, the Bulls have announced their season ticket packages ahead of the new Kingstone Press Championship season.

"We wanted to set a price that was a fair reflection on the competition and to reward the loyal supporters who have stood by us throughout this difficult period.

"We feel the prices are very good value for money and we are confident that we will be competitive on and off the field throughout the 2017 season."
