JOSH Cullen admitted it was an easy call to sign up for the rest of City's promotion-chasing bid.

The influential West Ham midfielder delivered an early New Year boost by agreeing to extend his loan stay until the end of the season.

Cullen, who will also be available should the Bantams reach the play-offs again, has started 22 games so far to continue where he left off in his first stint at Valley Parade.

Now he is ready for more of the same and said: "I've enjoyed playing my football here and everything about the club – the staff, the players and the fans. They have all been brilliant with me.

"When it came to extending my stay once again, it was just a case off getting everything sorted out. It was never really a decision I had to make.

"I am really pleased everything is signed now and we can kick on with the second half of the season.

"The target is obviously to look towards the top of the table come the end of the season but we must take it one game at a time.

"It was great to start the New Year with a win (at Northampton). As a squad, we just want to kick on now and use that result as a boost for the rest of the month and beyond."

Cullen's parent club had already indicated they were happy for the player to continue his progress in League One.

Meanwhile, Haris Vuckic yesterday confirmed his exit – the third player to leave the club this week after Nathan Clarke and Marc McNulty.

Their departure will free up further cash towards Stuart McCall's recruitment plans, with at least one striker remaining a priority target.
