DALE Ferguson hopes the Bulls "get sorted sharpish" as he officially waved goodbye for Huddersfield.

The Scotland international has returned to the Super League club where he made 59 appearances before moving to Odsal in 2013.

Ferguson admitted he had jumped at the chance of linking up with the Giants but has huge sympathy for the administration-hit club he leaves behind.

The 28-year-old issued a heartfelt message to his former team-mates and fans as he said: "I would like to thank all at Bradford Bulls for giving me the opportunity to play for a great club and looking after me greatly the last three years.

"Special thanks to the fans who made my time very enjoyable, then to a class bunch of lads and coaching staff. It's been an honour to play alongside them and make lifelong mates.

"Good luck for this year. Hopefully for you all, things get sorted sharpish and you get back to where you belong."

Ferguson has only recently finished Four Nations duty with the Bravehearts but declined the chance of a longer break so he could get straight into training with Huddersfield.

Giants coach Rick Stone said: "That shows the type of attitude he has got and that is the level of work ethic and commitment we're looking to have in this squad. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in training.

"He showed a lot of class and toughness against world-class teams in that (Four Nations) tournament. He has a good skills set, is tough and will compete hard, which will bring plenty to our squad."

Ferguson, who follows Paul Clough and Lee Gaskell to the John Smith's Stadium, added: "It was tough to leave (Odsal) but it was the right time. As soon as the opportunity arose to come back, I jumped at the chance."

Meanwhile, young Bulls stand-off Reagan Tolson is still recovering in hospital after a traffic accident in Drighlington on Friday night.
