LACHLAN Burr is relishing the prospect of working with Rohan Smith again at Bradford.

The 24-year-old forward has arrived from Australia to begin pre-season training with his new team-mates.

Burr worked closely with Smith during his time at Gold Coast Titans, where the Bradford boss was assistant coach.

"I'm excited and I can't wait to just rip in with the boys and do some weights and get to know the lads," said Burr.

"Rohan is a great coach and he is very detailed with everything that he does. I'm looking forward to moving forward with him.

"At Gold Coast, he was the assistant coach. I'm glad that he's got more of a main role as the head coach and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do this year."

Burr was a promising star in the ranks of the Titans after coming from Canterbury Bulldogs, where he was the club's NSW Cup player of the year for 2013 and also included in the NSW Cup team of the year.

But he is delighted to be reunited with Smith and said: "There are a lot of young faces, so it looks like a pretty young team and I'm looking forward to it. Rohan is a great coach, so I'm looking forward to having a great season."

Burr was keen to get into training on his first day and meet the staff and the squad as he begins a new chapter in his career.

He said: "I didn't play much first grade this year, I only played three games, but definitely all of the pre-season and the training stuff is going to put me in some good stead with this team."
