MARK Moore says his proposal for the Bulls to be owned by supporters is very much a "last resort" if no other offers to buy the club are accepted.

Three years ago, Moore, Andrew Calvert and Ian Watt were involved in a bid to buy the club from Omar Khan.

The saga dragged on over Christmas and led to Marc Green seizing ownership of the club himself after the Bulls had entered administration.

With Bradford having been placed into administration for the third time in just five years last week, ownership of the club is once again up for grabs.

Administrator Gary Pettit has told the Telegraph & Argus that he is confident a new owner can be found and in place within two weeks, having now fielded up to 12 serious expressions of interest.

Moore is keen to sound out Bulls fans about the prospect of working in conjunction with Supporters Direct and making the club community owned before taking his idea any further.

"Hopefully someone will come in with big bucks to take the club forward, so really this is just a safety net in case there is nothing else out there," he said.

"Rather than the Bulls just disappear off the face of the earth, the club would be turned into a community trust which is owned and run by supporters.

"This model has been very successful in football in Germany and Spain – but it has also seen significant success in this country with the likes of FC United of Manchester, which is in conjunction with Supporters Direct.

"It depends if there is an appetite for it from the supporters but it would be as a last resort if it doesn't work out with any of the interested parties.

"It would be one member, one vote and therefore whoever took part in it would be in control of the club.

"It's not about egos, it's about trying to keep a club going at the 11th hour and getting supporters loving the Bulls again."

Moore is wary of the reaction of supporters following his previous flirtation with the Bulls, which ended in a bitter fall-out with the Rugby Football League.

Asked whether he felt he had unfinished business at Odsal, Moore said: "Three years down the line, I still think about it every day.

"But it was taken out of our hands when Marc Green put us into administration and other things occurred at that time.

"You can't look back, only forward, and we're now trying to come up with a solution if it's needed.

"If not, then great, but we did have a short spell in charge of the club and know what we would be walking into.

"But it would be with all the supporters as well and we would be running on the Supporters Direct model. Like I say, we need to gauge the opinion of supporters first before taking it any further.

"It may be that this has no legs – but as soon as we know if the fans want an open meeting, then we can let Supporters Direct take control."
