LEWIS Charnock has warned that Sheffield will be a "different kettle of fish" when they head back to Odsal for the Championship Shield final on Sunday.

The Bulls battered Mark Aston's crisis-torn side 80-0 nine days ago in the final round of the competition and now face them again on home soil.

The financially-stricken Eagles, who are battling to stave off administration and possible liquidation, won 46-32 at Halifax to progress into this weekend's showpiece encounter.

Charnock was recalled to the Bulls team for the recent Sheffield demolition in place of Joe Keyes and, having kept his spot for the semi-final victory over Dewsbury, he is hoping to bow out on a high.

The on-loan St Helens scrum half is expected to join the newly-formed Toronto Wolfpack at the end of the season and wants to leave Bradford as a winner.

Charnock said: "We had a good win against Sheffield recently but it isn't going to be as easy in this weekend's final. That was two weeks ago and this is a final, so it's a different kettle of fish.

"Sheffield went to Halifax at the weekend and did a number on them, so they must have fixed up the performance from when we played them. This weekend's final certainly won't be the same as that last game."

Head coach Rohan Smith will keep any changes to a minimum as his Bulls side bid to claim the club's first piece of silverware since winning the World Club Challenge in 2006.

It promises to be an emotionally fraught occasion as at least half the squad bid farewell to Bradford and head for pastures new.

Even though Charnock is leaving, his performances in the past two games since being recalled to the side after injury could ensure he partners Dane Chisholm in the halves again at the expense of Joe Keyes.

Yet Charnock said: "I'm not confident of keeping my spot. Whoever trains the best during the week will obviously play.

"I played against Sheffield and then against Dewsbury, so I've been happy with that, but there is always room for improvement and I'll review that with the coaches and see what I did well and what I can do better.

"Chissy is more off the cuff and I'm more structured, so it works well. I've signed elsewhere for next season but I'm looking to bow out from Bradford on a high."

Meanwhile, loose forward Vytas Vasnys and prop Liam Kirk were presented with trophies as BullBuilder under-16s and under-19s players of the year respectively during half-time of Sunday's win against Dewsbury.

Under-16s coach Leigh Beattie, who has now replaced Matt Diskin as under-19s boss, said: "Vytas is a great kid to coach and absorbs all the information given.

"He is a credit to his parents and Hunslet Warriors and fully deserves to be the BullBuilder under-16s player of the year."

Kirk is rapidly establishing himself in the Bulls' first-team and Beattie said: "Liam has been a great role model in the Academy.

"He's consistent and honest with his preparation, which has been a reflection of his performances on the rugby field. He fully deserves his award."
