ROHAN Smith watched the Bulls set up a Championship Shield final against Sheffield and declared: Bring it on.

Smith's men edged another niggly encounter against Dewsbury 36-22, with rookie referee Scott Mikalauskas awarding 11 penalties apiece.

The Bradford head coach felt the official never quite had control of the game but the hosts were never in serious danger as Alex Mellor (2), Dane Chisholm, Kris Welham, Danny Williams, Kieren Moss and Ethan Ryan all touched down.

The Bulls can now look forward to another battle against an Eagles outfit who were destroyed 80-0 at Odsal last weekend but who won 46-32 at Halifax in yesterday's other semi-final.

"I thought we had a lot of really strong performers and I don't think the scoreline did the game justice," said Smith.

"We had around 14 or 15 guys who could be pretty happy with how they played. When you get that, you get a good result at the end of it and it's all about building for Sunday against Sheffield now.

"As we know, a week is a long time in rugby league, as Sheffield showed against Halifax. We are looking forward to a fierce battle.

"Previous battles don't count for anything any more because this is a final and form doesn't matter. We will both be pumped up for it and it's all about Sunday now, so bring it on.

"We want to win every game we play and this is an opportunity to play in a final, which is something you don't get the chance to do every year. Hopefully the weather is good."

Smith kept faith with the same 17 who saw off Sheffield seven days earlier, with Lewis Charnock again preferred to Joe Keyes in the halves.

Charnock has signed for another club next season and Huddersfield's success in beating Hull KR and securing Super League survival is expected to see them announce the signings of Bulls trio Dale Ferguson, Lee Gaskell and Paul Clough shortly.

Danny Addy and Mitch Clark face a nervous wait to discover if Hull KR beat Salford in the Million Pound Game on Saturday, with the pair understood to have agreed moves to the Robins.

Warrington prop Ben Evans, a former Bulls loanee, and ex-Bradford favourite Jarrod Sammut are believed to have agreed moves to London Broncos.

Smith, who will attend the Million Pound Game, felt yesterday's match had been officiated "poorly" by Mikalauskas and said: "There were some quality touches but there was a lot of niggle.

"I guess they are happy to have niggly games, the RFL. I don't think anyone would say this was a controlled game. That's what you certainly want – for the game to be under control."

Smith will keep any changes to a minimum for Sunday's final and revealed that Keyes and James Bentley were his only other fit and available players yesterday.

The Australian boss said: "We will pick our best team to win next week and we will see if anyone else becomes available."
