DEWSBURY travel to Odsal aiming to pull off a shock win in the Championship Shield semi-final – and beat the Bulls for the third time this season.

Bradford finished 16 points above the Rams in the league standings and will be determined to end the season with an appearance in the final after the disappointment of missing out on the Middle Eights.

Dewsbury defeated Bradford 31-30 in the Challenge Cup at the Tetley's Stadium in March and won 16-14 at Odsal with a last-gasp Paul Sykes goal in the regular season but will be without several key players for tomorrow's semi.

Lucas Walshaw and Etu Uaisele are ineligible to play against their parent club, which comes as a major blow to Rams boss Glenn Morrison.

Both players will leave Bradford at the end of the season after spending the last two years at the club, with Walshaw expected to join Dewsbury on a permanent deal and Uaisele returning to Australia.

Head coach Morrison said: "Etu is heading home at the end of the season, so I think he'd like another game and hopefully it will be the Shield final.

"Etu said he knew he wasn't playing this week and it was all or nothing to get us to the semi-finals and he was outstanding against Oldham last week.

"If we can beat Bradford and get to a final, it would certainly be a game I'd remember.

"It is going to be tough to go to Bradford, who have just had a big win over Sheffield, but you want to go into big games on the back of a tough match.

"Over the last month we had Halifax and Sheffield away, when we had victories, and that has helped us go into finals footy on the right note."
