DANE Chisholm has revealed how he and Kieren Moss have become brothers in arms on and off the field.

The Aussie duo have hit it off since they arrived at Odsal during the summer from NRL clubs.

Their on-field chemistry, which provided the inspiration for last weekend’s 80-0 home win over Sheffield, is fuelled by their close friendship away from rugby.

Full back Moss scored four tries against the Eagles and Chisholm touched down twice, with both men contracted to the club for next season.

Chisholm said: “I knew of Mossy when he played at Penrith and he won an Under-20s competition when Mitch Clark was in the team as well.

“I won that with Melbourne Storm in 2009 so we had that in common when we came here and we have mutual friends.

“It was a smooth transition and we socialise together away from rugby.

“The other day, me and Mossy ran around playing basketball together, so he's a really good bloke on and off the field.

“He's a good head on his shoulders and is a calm kid – a really good person.

“It's good to have him as a mate and his football abilities are outstanding.

“Every time there is a line break, Mossy is always there.

“He's just a freak and if he was a bit more selfish he could have had five tries last week.

“He put Ziggy (Adam Sidlow) over instead and he converted his own try on his 100th appearance, which was awesome for him.”

Chisholm returned to the side in style last week having missed the Workington defeat with a slight groin strain.

Chisholm added: “I was a bit disappointed I couldn't help the boys at Workington, so I definitely wanted to put in a good performance against Sheffield to make up for that.

“I can't wait to get out there against Dewsbury this weekend now and I know all the boys are keen to have another crack at them after that tough game at their place recently.

“If we turn up like we did against Sheffield, we shouldn't have a problem.

“I've made so many close mates here in a short space of time here at Bradford and a lot of them are leaving.

“Winning the Championship Shield would be a good way to send them off to their new clubs and a great way to finish the season.”
