ADAM Sidlow believes he can play on for another five years as he bids to celebrate a career landmark with victory over Sheffield tomorrow.

The Bulls forward will make his 100th appearance in the red, amber and black against the Eagles as Rohan Smith's men seek to bounce back from last week's Workington humiliation.

The 28-year-old Wiganer was signed by Francis Cummins from Salford ahead of the 2013 campaign and has become a mainstay of the Bradford side since then as a starting prop who plays long minutes.

"When I came here, I didn't expect to make so many appearances for such a big, established club, so to do so makes my family and I proud," said Sidlow.

"There has been a lot of highs as well and hopefully the good times have outweighed the bad.

"Every time I score a try for the club is a good moment, although they are few and far between.

"The Leeds results at Headingley have brought great memories, especially when I scored late on and we got a draw in 2013.

"Winning there the following year after we had been relegated was also special.

"There have been some tough times but I've never not been paid, so you've just got to be professional and get on with it.

"Bradford were in Super League when I came here but we had six points deducted for going into administration and went down.

"I'd like to get Bradford back up there and hopefully we can do it next season."

Sidlow's idol, former Bulls star Jamie Peacock, came out of retirement at the ripe old age of 38 for Hull KR last weekend.

The Bulls star said: "I would hope I've got at least five years left. It's tough in the middle as a prop and it takes its toll on your body.

"But I'll do it for as long as I can and when I'm not performing, that will be when I hang up my boots.

"I'm happy with my form this season, and have played big minutes again, but the results haven't been what we wanted.

"I'll look at my performance as well as the team's and hopefully we can rectify things next season."

Sidlow has another year on his contract but it is understood that the possibility of him moving on was recently discussed.

A recent report linked Sidlow with a switch to part-timers Featherstone – but the player insists he will be staying at Bradford.

"I've not heard anything about it," said Sidlow of the recent rumours. "I definitely want to stay here and try and get Bradford back into Super League.

"Hopefully we can assemble a squad that will enable us to do that next year.

"You need a variety of props and I'm one who can do long minutes, so I'll do that for as long as I can.

"I wasn't enjoying my rugby at Salford but I came to Bradford and started enjoying again it under Franny Cummins and Jimmy Lowes especially.

"Now Rohan is here, I'm still enjoying my rugby. He's got his different techniques and different styles of playing. He looks after you and if you need a day off training, that's what he is big on.

"Every coach is different and has their positives and negatives – but you've got to enjoy it, otherwise you'll not do the business on the field.

"It's going to be completely different next year but we've just got to get on with it and take it as it comes."

The immediate priority for Bradford is winning the Championship Shield.

"Obviously the fans aren't going to be happy, especially with the result last week and what has happened with not getting in the middle eights," said Sidlow.

"It's disappointing but we've got a trophy that we can win and that's what we'll try and aim for."

Dane Chisholm, Kris Welham, Danny Williams and Lewis Charnock are all back in the 19-man Bulls squad to face Sheffield.
