KIEREN Moss believes a strong end to the current campaign can provide the Bulls with vital momentum heading into next season.

The Australian has proved a big hit since arriving from Parramatta Eels in June on a deal until the end of 2017.

He has only missed one game and his brace in Sunday's win over Halifax took his try tally in Bradford colours to seven.

Although disappointed to have missed out on a place in the Qualifiers, Moss is optimistic about next term.

The 23-year-old full back said: "It would have been a great experience to make the middle eights and get the club back where we should be in the Super League.

"But I've no regrets at all about coming here to the Bulls – I've actually loved it. I want to finish this year on a high and then take it into next year.

"Hopefully that will be the basis on which we can build and be a really strong side when the middle eights come around again in 2017."

Moss scored the Bulls' best try of the season with a stunning long-range effort in Sunday's win over Halifax.

Collecting a high bomb from Gareth Moore inside his own 20-metre line, Moss outstripped the visiting defence in exhilarating fashion as he raced clear down the left flank.

"I'm not trying to sound big-headed but I had a couple of those when I was younger," said Moss with a smile.

"It comes with the position as well because, as a full back, there are going to be times when you do find yourself in open space.

"I kind of surprised myself that I caught it because it was a huge kick. I was expecting to get banged as soon as I caught it but it was just open space.

"I scored with help from the guys around me and the protection from the defence. That opened up the space for me to run.

"Part of my job is to support the attack and if I'm not there then I am kind of filthy on myself.

"Billy Slater is at the pinnacle of full backs for his all-round game in defence and attack. I look at what he does and try and mimic that or take bits to use in my own game."

Moss worked with Rohan Smith during his formative years at Penrith Panthers and is excelling under the Bulls head coach.

"I was with Rohan for a season when I was in my second year in the under-20s at Penrith," said Moss.

"He was the assistant coach and did a lot for me individually in terms of rugby and the way I think about things. I enjoy playing under him."
