BRADFORD Bulls' wheelchair rugby league side are celebrating after reaching the Challenge Cup semi-finals following a thrilling 62-52 win over Hull FC.

Bradford captain Keiron Johnson scored two drop goals in extra time to seal the win and leave head coach Richard Johnson delighted.

The boss said: "It was a great game. Hull battled all the way and it's good to see how they have improved.

"But our fitness and strength showed through in extra time to win us the game and I'm very proud of the team."

Star man Martin Norris scored an early try for Hull but Bradford soon hit back with a score from skipper Johnson.

Hull then added three tries before a score from vice-captain George Herd brought the game closer and Jack Sykes also got on the scoresheet.

Hull went on to score another try but, just before the break, captain Johnson scored again to leave Bradford just four points behind at 24-20.

After the break, Bradford grabbed two quick tries from Sykes and Rhys Shears.

Mathew Ward then scored for Bradford but Hull earned a try with just a few minutes to go to put themselves in the lead by four points.

With two minutes remaining, Ward scored a try that left the Bulls just two points behind.

Captain Johnson did not let the pressure get to him to claim the conversion, bringing the game to a dramatic 44-44 ending after 80 minutes.

Two halves of ten minutes were played to decide the outcome and Johnson dropped two goals to pull his side ten points clear after extra time.
