STEVE Ferres believes the Bulls will go into Sunday’s trip to Dewsbury as “underdogs” as they bid to secure a much-needed victory.

Jimmy Lowes’ side head to the Tetley’s Stadium aiming to stop the rot after a run of one win in six games.

That sequence included a Challenge Cup defeat at Dewsbury and managing director Ferres is expecting another stern test.

He has thanked fans for their continued backing and reckons they will turn out in numbers once again this weekend.

Ferres said: “The loyal support we get from the fans is outstanding and we are grateful for that.

“I’m sure there will be another big turn-out at Dewsbury on Sunday because the boys certainly appreciate the backing they receive.

“Even though the team is going through a sticky patch, we are confident we will emerge from it.

“Unlike any other game so far this season, we probably into Sunday’s game as underdogs because of the way we have been performing.

“It will be good to see how the boys react to that.”

The Bulls will not have any new signings in place before this weekend’s game as they bid to strengthen their squad.

Victory over Sunday would lift Lowes’ men four points clear of the Rams, who are facing an injury crisis with up to a dozen players set to be missing.

Jonathan Walker and Etu Uaisele cannot face their parent club this weekend under the terms of their one-month loan deals from Bradford.

But Uaisele is looking to stay with Glenn Morrison’s side beyond that initial period, saying: “At the moment I'm looking at being with Dewsbury long term.”
